Those stones are still on the bridge and I myself lifted one in each hand on many occasions and one market day, I carried them across the bridge and back, some four to five yards - Donald Dinnie.

Bryan completed 2 unassisted lifts of the Dinnie Stones at the Potarch Cafe & Restaurant. His second lift was held for an incredible 33.9 seconds and is a new world record for lifting and holding the Steens. His lifts were witnessed by his family, Brett Nicol, Jim & Rosemary Splaine, Malcolm & Christina Nicol and Helen Knowles. A large crowd of spectators and press were also present.
